Why is Poland excluded in some casinos?

I noticed that in many casinos they do not accept players from Poland. What is the reason?

Hello,

Such casinos probably do not meet the region's governing requirements.

Poland has specific gambling laws that restrict the operation of online casinos within its borders. According to the Polish Gambling Act, only certain forms of gambling are licensed and regulated, such as sports betting, lotteries, and casino gambling at licensed venues. Online casino games are a grey area, with the only licensed online casino permitted to offer such games being Totalizator Sportowy.

The strict regulations, which were reinforced in 2017, introduced mechanisms to block unlicensed gaming providers and penalize those offering unlicensed gambling services. This legal framework is why many online casinos exclude Poland, as they cannot legally operate within the country without facing potential repercussions. The situation also contravenes EU laws, which require member states to allow for fair competition and prohibit the prosecution of players under such circumstances.
