Jacks Or Better Game Overview
If you’re after a classic video poker game you can play online, Jacks Or Better could well be the game for you. Developed by 1x2Gaming, the game follows the standard video poker rules and gets you thinking about which cards, if any, to replace to potentially improve your hand. Give our review a read to learn more about this recommended video poker game.
How To Play The Jacks Or Better Game
In order to play Jacks Or Better, there are two variables you need to adjust: the coin value and the bet level. The coin value options range from 0.1 to 25 and for the bet level, simply choose a number between 1 and 5. The two values you choose are multiplied together and the result is your total bet. Hit the ‘MAXBET’ button and the bet will be set at its highest possible size (125).
When you’ve got a bet size set up, click on the ‘DEAL’ button and five cards will then be drawn. In video poker games, our objective is to form the best possible poker hand using five cards. When your five cards are revealed, you can either keep them as they are and claim any winnings, or replace any number of them. If you choose to replace cards, all cards you choose not to hold onto are swapped for new ones at the same time. Your hand is then reevaluated and any wins are paid out.
The game’s so-called because the least valuable poker hand you need to win is a jacks or better. The other poker hands you can win with, from least to most valuable, are as follows: two pair, 3 of a kind, straight, flush, full house, 4 of a kind, straight flush and royal flush.
Jacks Or Better Game Features
- Video Poker Theme. Jacks Or Better is designed to resemble a typical online video poker game. The gaming interface takes up much of the screen and on top, there’s the payouts on the right and the jack character from standard playing cards on the left.
- Audio. The game doesn’t have a soundtrack. There are some basic sound effects that can be hard whenever you press certain buttons and when the cards are dealt.
- Payouts. The game’s paytable is visible at all times near the top of the screen. The payouts you receive depend on your coin size and the bet level. Look at the paytable and you’ll see that the payouts for a bet level of 2 are double the payouts for a bet level of 1 and so on. All payouts are multiplied accordingly depending on the bet level. The only exception is the top hand of a royal flush. The payout for this hand with a bet level of 1 is 250 coins. For a bet level of 5, the payout should be 1,250, however it’s increased to 4,000 coins instead. This is to give players who form the top hand when betting the highest amount a bonus payout.
