Werewolf Wild Slot Overview
Werewolf Wild is an online slot created by the provider Aristocrat. Themed to werewolves, it’s set in the streets of London and comes with several special features, including free spins and a bonus game. The slot uses a standard grid with three rows and five reels, and has twenty-five paylines you can form winning combinations on.
How To Play The Werewolf Wild Slot
Before spinning the reels, you have to decide how much you’re going to bet with. All twenty-five of the slot’s paylines are fixed and are covered by all bets. To determine your bet size, click on the settings button in the top right-hand corner and then you’ll see two metres: one for the twenty-five paylines and the other for the coin size. Click to adjust the coin size to the value you want. There’s an autoplay feature you can turn on if you’d like to have the slot spin the reels for you.
The slot has a low to medium volatility. What this means is that as you play, you should get a fairly steady stream of smaller wins, with slightly larger wins coming round every once in a while. The slot’s RTP is 95.3%, which is slightly lower than average when compared with other online slots.
Werewolf Wild Slot Features
- Werewolf Theme. The slot is themed to werewolves in London. The reels take up most of the screen, though you can just about see the background, which shows London’s riverside on a dark evening. The lights of the Big Ben clock tower can be seen. Most of the symbols that appear on the reels match the slot’s setting and theme, and are designed using cartoon-style graphics.
- Audio. There isn’t a soundtrack that plays in the background. The slot does, however, have some sound effects that you can hear whenever certain things happen, such as the reels coming to a stop or a winning combination being formed.
- 25 Paylines. In order to win and get paid, you need to have three to five matching symbols land on any one of the slot’s twenty-five paylines. To count as a win, the symbols have to be on consecutive reels and the chain of symbols needs to begin on the leftmost reel.
- The Werewolf’s Touch Bonus. Land three, four or five full moon scatters to receive seven, fourteen or twenty-eight free spins respectively. While free spins are in play, all werewolf wilds are contagious. Every time one lands, if there are any gentleman, lady or policeman symbols adjacent to it, those symbols transform into werewolf wilds. Once all transformations have taken place, any wins for that spin are paid out.
- Mystery Coin Feature. If the coin symbol lands on reel 1 and there’s at least one werewolf symbol somewhere on the grid, this feature triggers. You then receive a payout worth 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x, 20x or 40x your total bet. The prize you win from this feature is determined at random.
- Claw Swipe Feature. This is a feature that can trigger randomly on any spin. Whenever it comes into play, claw swipes can appear on any number of reels, turning random symbols into werewolf wilds. This can boost your chances of forming winning combinations.
- Symbols. There are thirteen symbols altogether. The standard symbols include five card ranks (A-10), a street lamp, a horse-drawn carriage, a policeman, a lady and a gentleman. Both the lady and gentleman symbols give you payouts worth 500x your bet per payline for five of a kind on a payline. The werewolf is the wild. It substitutes for all standard symbols and has a top payout of 1,000x your bet per payline. The full moon scatter gives payouts for three to five anywhere - land five for a prize worth 50x your total bet. Finally, there’s the coin symbol, which only appears on reel 1.
