How To Play The GEMiX Slot

• Cluster Pays. The slot uses a 7x7 grid and to win, clusters of five or more matching symbols have to land on the reels. For symbols to be part of a cluster, they have to be touching horizontally or vertically. The more symbols there are in a winning cluster, the more you’re paid.

• Avalanches. Whenever you win, all of the winning symbols are removed from the grid. The gaps that are left behind are then filled by symbols dropping down from above. This gives you a chance to win again; if you do win, another avalanche occurs and winning symbols disappear once again. There’s no limit to how many consecutive avalanches you can get from a single spin of the reels.

• World Patterns. As mentioned above, GEMiX has three different settings. The grid’s positions are either transparent or blue. Each world has three levels and to progress to the next one, you have to clear the pattern, which you do by landing winning symbols on all of the blue squares. Keep track of your progress by looking at the diagram to the right of the reels. Once you’ve cleared level three’s pattern, you receive the World Bonus payout. This is the sum of 10% of all your winnings. Once you’ve cleared the third pattern, you move on to a different world.

• World Wilds. On any non-winning spin, there’s a chance that wilds may land. There are three types of wild and the one you get depends on which world the slot’s currently set in. If you’re in the mine world, up to ten miner’s lamp wilds can appear. If you’re in the castle world, lollipop wilds fill an entire row. If it’s the wizard’s forest world you’re in, up to eight spell book wilds can land - these wilds are sticky and aren’t removed during avalanches. All three of the wilds substitute for all of the slot’s regular symbols.

  • Crystal Charge. On the right is the Crystal Charge metre. If you win with more than twenty symbols on a single spin (including subsequent avalanches), you’ll activate the Crystal Charge metre and will get one of four features:

  • Nova Blast. One symbol is chosen at random. It clones itself onto all adjacent symbols and causes other symbols nearby to vanish from the reels.

  • Crystal Warp. All instances of one randomly chosen symbol are turned into other matching symbols.

  • Light Beam. One symbol on the grid is chosen and blasts out light beams that hit other symbols and all symbols along the beam into the same matching symbol.

  • Chain Lightning. Two of the grid’s corner positions are connected and one of the symbols in these positions is duplicated across the grid to the other position.

If you manage to collect forty or more winning symbols, you’ll get one of the above features and a x3 multiplier will be applied to your winnings.
