How To Play The 3 Card Hold'em Game

3 Card Hold’em is a poker game that pits you against the dealer. First, you have to place your ante bet, which gives you the chance to play the game. There are casino chip of different values from 0.10 to 100 and your ante bet can be made up of any combination of chips, so long as it’s at least 1 doesn’t exceed 100.

Seven cards are then dealt: two hole cards to you, two hole cards to the dealer and three community cards in the middle. Your two cards and one of the community cards are dealt face-up for you to see. Your ultimate aim is to have a higher-ranking three-card poker hand than the dealer using any combination of your two cards and the community cards.

Once the cards have been dealt, you can fold (quit and lose your bet) or bet again (your second bet, the turn bet, has to be equal in size to your first). The second community card is then revealed and you can bet or check. If you decide to check, the third community card will be revealed followed by the dealer’s two cards. If you decide to bet, you place a third bet (the river bet) that’s equal to your ante bet and the final community card is then revealed, followed by the dealer’s cards.

The dealer’s hand needs to contain a four pair or higher to qualify. If the dealer doesn’t qualify, you automatically win. If the dealer does qualify, whoever has the best three-card poker hand using any combination of their hole cards and the community cards then wins.
