Blackjack Game Overview
If you’re after an online casino game that’s well designed and fun to play, check out the Blackjack game by 1x2Gaming. It follows all the standard rules of the game and is accessible to both beginners and more advanced players. Give it a go and take on the dealer to see who can get the closest to 21!
How To Play The Blackjack Game
First of all, you need to select one or more chips to determine your bet size. The available chip sizes are 0.5, 1, 5, 10, 25 and 100. The minimum amount of money you can bet with is 0.5 and the maximum is 200.00. The game lets you play up to three hands at the same time, while the dealer only has one hand no matter how many you have. You can bet different amounts on each hand.
Once you’ve got your bet(s) set, click on ‘DEAL’. All hands that you’ve bet on will then have two cards dealt to them, as will the dealer’s one hand. One of the dealer’s cards is dealt face-down, the other face-up. For each hand, starting with the rightmost one, you can perform various actions:
-
Hit. Take an extra card.
-
Stand. Keep your hand as it is.
-
Double. Double your bet on that particular hand, hit then stand.
-
Split. If the two cards in your hand are of the same rank, you can double your bet and split your hand in two. You can split once per hand only.
-
Insurance. This option is only available if the dealer’s face-up card is an ace. Should this happen, you’ll get to place the insurance side bet. This costs half your bet on that particular hand. If the dealer gets blackjack, your insurance bet is paid at 2:1. If the dealer doesn’t get blackjack, the bet is forfeited.
The aim of blackjack is to get closer to 21 than the dealer. All number cards are worth their face value. Royals (jacks, queens and kings) are worth 10 and aces can be worth 11 or 1. The current value of each hand is clearly displayed. If a hand ever goes above 21, it’s out of the game and the bet on that hand is forfeited. Six standard decks of cards are used.
If your first two cards add up to 21 and the dealer’s first two cards do not, your hand automatically wins - this is known as a blackjack. Likewise, if the dealer’s first two cards add up 21, it wins against any hands of yours that aren’t worth 21.
You get to decide what to do with each of your hands. The dealer, on the other hand, follows set rules. The dealer has to stand if their hand is worth 17 or more.
Blackjack Game Features
-
Blackjack Theme. The game is set up just like a typical blackjack game in a land-based casino. When you play, you’re looking down on a virtual red blackjack table where all the cards are dealt and the game’s action takes place.
-
Audio. This blackjack game doesn’t have a soundtrack. It does, however, have a number of basic sound effects that can be heard during gameplay. These sound effects are designed to replicate the sounds of real-life blackjack games.
- Payouts. If a hand of yours gets closer to 21 than the dealer’s, you’re paid 1:1 for that hand. You also get this payout for each hand if the dealer goes over 21 and none of your own hands do. If a hand gets blackjack (i.e. the first two cards add up to 21), you receive a 3:2 payout providing the dealer doesn’t also get blackjack. If one of your hands gets blackjack and the dealer’s does too, your bet for that hand is returned to you.
